AdvilMed 20 mg / 1 ml

Indication

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) oral suspension/drops used for the reduction of fever and relief of mild to moderate pain in infants and children, including teething pain, post-vaccination fever, cold and flu symptoms.

Ingredients

• Ibuprofen 20 mg per mL

Direction

Dose based on weight and age as directed by a physician or product labelling. Typical infant dose: 5–10 mg/kg every 6–8 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal upset (nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea).
• Abdominal pain.
• Rare: allergic reactions
• skin rash.
• Renal effects with prolonged use.

Precautions

• Not for children under 3 months or below 5–6 kg without medical advice.
• Use lowest effective dose for shortest duration.
• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or aspirin.
• Use with caution in dehydration
• renal impairment
• or asthma.
• Do not use concurrently with other NSAIDs.
• Consult a doctor if fever persists beyond 3 days or pain beyond 5 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
