Cloderm cream 0.05% w/w

Indication

Cloderm cream (clobetasol propionate 0.05%) is a high-potency topical corticosteroid used for the short-term relief of inflammation and pruritus associated with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis.

Ingredients

• Clobetasol propionate 0.05% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once or twice daily. Rub in gently. Do not use for more than 2 consecutive weeks. Avoid contact with eyes.

Side effects

• Skin thinning (atrophy) with prolonged use.
• Striae
• telangiectasia.
• Burning
• stinging
• or itching at application site.
• Hypopigmentation.
• Systemic absorption may suppress the HPA axis with extensive use.

Precautions

• Not for use on the face
• groin
• or axillae.
• Avoid prolonged continuous use
• may cause skin atrophy.
• Do not use under occlusive dressings unless directed by a physician.
• Not recommended during pregnancy unless clearly necessary.
• Keep away from eyes.
• Discontinue if infection develops
• start appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
