PEDIARIUS 0.5 mg/ml

Indication

PEDIARIUS (cetirizine 0.5 mg/ml oral solution) is an antihistamine indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and chronic idiopathic urticaria in children.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine dihydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml

Direction

Children 2–6 years: 2.5 ml (1.25 mg) once or twice daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 ml (2.5 mg) twice daily or 10 ml (5 mg) once daily. Use the measuring device provided. Administer with or without food.

Side effects

• Drowsiness or sedation.
• Headache.
• Dry mouth.
• Fatigue.
• Abdominal pain or nausea (uncommon).

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
• dose adjustment may be required.
• May cause drowsiness
• caution if activities requiring alertness are planned.
• Avoid concurrent use of alcohol or CNS depressants.
• Consult a physician before use in children under 2 years.
• Contains excipients that may be unsuitable for some patients — check label.
