SKINEAL 10g

Indication

SKINEAL is a triple-combination topical cream used for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions complicated by bacterial or fungal secondary infections, including infected eczema and dermatitis.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole 1% w/w
• Neomycin sulfate 0.5% w/w
• Betamethasone valerate 0.1% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Treatment should not exceed 2 weeks without medical review.

Side effects

• Skin thinning with prolonged use.
• Burning or stinging at application site.
• Allergic contact dermatitis (particularly to neomycin).
• Fungal or bacterial superinfection.
• Striae or telangiectasia with extended use.

Precautions

• Not for use on the face
• groin
• or axillae unless directed by a physician.
• Avoid prolonged use
• corticosteroid component may cause skin atrophy.
• Do not apply under occlusive dressings.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Neomycin may cause sensitization
• discontinue if hypersensitivity occurs.
• Not recommended in pregnancy unless clearly necessary.
