Contraderm Gel 10 g

Indication

Contraderm Gel is a combination topical preparation containing an antifungal (isoconazole) and a corticosteroid (diflucortolone valerate) for the treatment of inflammatory fungal skin infections such as tinea and candidiasis with associated inflammation.

Ingredients

• Diflucortolone valerate 0.1% w/w
• Isoconazole nitrate 1% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily. Continue use for at least 2 weeks after symptoms have resolved. Consult a physician if no improvement after 4 weeks.

Side effects

• Burning or stinging on application.
• Skin thinning with prolonged use.
• Irritation or contact dermatitis (rare).

Precautions

• Not for use on the face unless directed by a physician.
• Avoid prolonged use
• corticosteroid component may cause skin atrophy.
• Do not use under occlusive dressings.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Not recommended in pregnancy unless clearly necessary.
