Aerius 0.5 mg/ml

Indication

Aerius oral solution (desloratadine 0.5 mg/ml) is a second-generation antihistamine indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Ingredients

• Desloratadine 0.5 mg/ml

Direction

Children 1–5 years: 2.5 ml (1.25 mg) once daily. Children 6–11 years: 5 ml (2.5 mg) once daily. Adolescents 12 years and over and adults: 10 ml (5 mg) once daily. Administer with or without food.

Side effects

• Headache.
• Fatigue.
• Dry mouth.
• Gastrointestinal disturbance (rare).
• Somnolence (less common than first
• generation antihistamines).

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment.
• Not recommended for infants under 1 year.
• Contains propylene glycol
• use with caution in infants and young children.
• Consult a physician before use if the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding.
