Axcel Hydrocortisone Cream 15g

Indication

Axcel Hydrocortisone Cream (hydrocortisone 1%) is a mild topical corticosteroid indicated for the relief of itching, redness, and inflammation associated with minor skin irritations, insect bites, contact dermatitis, and mild eczema.

Ingredients

• Hydrocortisone 1% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Rub in gently. Avoid use on the face for more than 7 days. Do not apply under occlusive dressings without medical advice.

Side effects

• Mild burning or stinging on application.
• Skin thinning with prolonged use.
• Striae with extended application in skin fold areas.
• HPA axis suppression with extensive use (rare).

Precautions

• Not for use on the face
• groin
• or underarms unless directed by a physician.
• Do not use on infected skin without concurrent antimicrobial treatment.
• Avoid prolonged continuous use.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Not recommended in pregnancy without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
