Indication
Tramadol 50 is a centrally acting opioid analgesic indicated for the management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults.
Ingredients
- Tramadol hydrochloride 50 mg
Direction
Adults: 50β100 mg every 4β6 hours as needed. Maximum 400 mg per day. May be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- dizziness (common).
- Constipation.
- Headache.
- Drowsiness
- sedation.
- Sweating.
- Seizures (rare
- dose
- related).
- Respiratory depression (overdose).
Precautions
- Do not use if allergic to tramadol or opioids.
- Risk of dependence and abuse
- use with caution in patients with history of substance abuse.
- Avoid concurrent use with MAO inhibitors
- SSRIs
- SNRIs (serotonin syndrome risk).
- Avoid in epilepsy or patients with lowered seizure threshold.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Not for use in children under 12 years.
- Avoid alcohol and CNS depressants.
- Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.
