Indication

SAFI CREAM (clobetasol propionate 0.05%) is a high-potency topical corticosteroid for the short-term treatment of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and lichen planus that are not responding to less potent steroids.

Ingredients

• Clobetasol propionate 0.05% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily. Do not use for more than 2 consecutive weeks. Maximum weekly dose: 50 g.

Side effects

• Skin thinning (atrophy).
• Striae
• telangiectasia.
• Burning or stinging.
• Hypopigmentation.
• HPA axis suppression with extensive/prolonged use.

Precautions

• Not for use on the face
• groin
• or axillae.
• Avoid prolonged use
• may cause skin atrophy.
• Do not use under occlusive dressings unless directed.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Not recommended in pregnancy unless clearly necessary.
• Not for use in children under 12 years without medical supervision.
