Indication

Posen Cream (mometasone furoate 0.1%) is a medium-to-high potency topical corticosteroid used for the relief of inflammation and pruritus associated with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

Ingredients

• Mometasone furoate 0.1% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily. Rub in gently. Do not exceed 3 weeks of continuous use without medical review.

Side effects

• Skin thinning (atrophy) with prolonged use.
• Burning or stinging on application.
• Striae.
• HPA axis suppression with extensive use (rare).

Precautions

• Not for prolonged use on the face
• groin
• or axillae.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use under occlusive dressings without medical direction.
• Avoid in skin infections unless combined with appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
• Not recommended in pregnancy without medical advice.
