Indication

ACTIN-A Cream (tretinoin) is a topical retinoid indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris and for the management of fine wrinkles and hyperpigmentation associated with photo-damaged skin.

Ingredients

• Tretinoin 0.025% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily, preferably at night. Wash and dry face before application. Avoid eyes, mouth, and nasal creases. Start with alternate nights and increase to nightly as tolerated.

Side effects

• Erythema (redness)
• dryness
• peeling.
• Burning or stinging
• especially initially.
• Photosensitivity.
• Temporary worsening of acne in the first few weeks.

Precautions

• Avoid exposure to sunlight and UV light
• use sunscreen during the day.
• Contraindicated in pregnancy and women planning pregnancy (teratogenic).
• Avoid in patients with eczema or sensitive skin.
• Do not use with other drying or keratolytic agents without medical guidance.
• Avoid contact with eyes

• and mucous membranes.
• For external use only.
