Indication

CLOBATE (clobetasol propionate 0.05%) is a high-potency topical corticosteroid indicated for the short-term relief of inflammation and pruritus in corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as plaque psoriasis, eczema, and lichen planus.

Ingredients

• Clobetasol propionate 0.5 mg per gram (0.05% w/w)

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily. Do not exceed 2 consecutive weeks of continuous treatment. Maximum 50 g per week.

Side effects

• Skin thinning (atrophy).
• Striae
• telangiectasia.
• Burning or stinging.
• Hypopigmentation.
• HPA axis suppression with excessive/prolonged use.

Precautions

• Not for use on the face
• groin
• or axillae.
• Avoid prolonged use
• risk of skin atrophy.
• Do not use under occlusive dressings.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Not recommended in pregnancy unless clearly necessary.
• Not for use in children under 12 years without medical supervision.
