ECONAZINE 10g

Indication

ECONAZINE (econazole nitrate 1%) is a topical imidazole antifungal cream indicated for the treatment of fungal skin infections including tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and cutaneous candidiasis.

Ingredients

• Econazole nitrate 1% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily. Rub in gently. Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after symptoms resolve (up to 4 weeks for tinea pedis).

Side effects

• Mild burning
• itching
• or stinging on application.
• Local erythema (redness).
• Allergic contact dermatitis (rare).

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Discontinue if skin irritation or sensitisation develops.
• Consult a physician if no improvement after 4 weeks.
