Indication
ECONAZINE (econazole nitrate 1%) is a topical imidazole antifungal cream indicated for the treatment of fungal skin infections including tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and cutaneous candidiasis.
Ingredients
- Econazole nitrate 1% w/w
Direction
Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily. Rub in gently. Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after symptoms resolve (up to 4 weeks for tinea pedis).
Side effects
- Mild burning
- itching
- or stinging on application.
- Local erythema (redness).
- Allergic contact dermatitis (rare).
Precautions
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Discontinue if skin irritation or sensitisation develops.
- Consult a physician if no improvement after 4 weeks.
