DERMAGEN 10 g

Indication

DERMAGEN (triple combination cream) contains a corticosteroid, an antibiotic, and an antifungal for the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses with concurrent or suspected bacterial and fungal infection.

Ingredients

• Betamethasone valerate 0.1% w/w
• Neomycin sulfate 0.5% w/w
• Clotrimazole 1% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Do not use for more than 2 consecutive weeks without medical review.

Side effects

• Skin thinning with prolonged use.
• Allergic contact dermatitis (neomycin).
• Burning or stinging at application site.
• Striae with extended use.

Precautions

• Not for use on the face unless directed.
• Avoid prolonged use
• corticosteroid may cause skin atrophy.
• Neomycin can cause sensitization
• discontinue if hypersensitivity occurs.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Not recommended in pregnancy unless clearly necessary.
