CLOFENAC SR 100mg

Indication

CLOFENAC SR (diclofenac sodium 100 mg, sustained release) is an NSAID indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other musculoskeletal disorders.

Ingredients

• Diclofenac sodium 100 mg (sustained release)

Direction

Adults: 1 tablet (100 mg) once daily, preferably in the evening. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Take with or after food.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal discomfort
• nausea.
• Peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding (rare).
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Fluid retention.
• Elevated liver enzymes (rare).

Precautions

• Do not crush or chew the sustained
• release tablet.
• Do not use if allergic to diclofenac or other NSAIDs.
• Avoid in active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Avoid in the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Avoid in severe renal
• hepatic
• or cardiac failure.
• Do not use concurrently with other NSAIDs or anticoagulants.
