Indication

COOL EYES is an ophthalmic preparation containing a sympathomimetic decongestant (naphazoline) and zinc sulfate used for the relief of minor eye irritation, redness, and discomfort due to environmental exposure, dust, or swimming.

Ingredients

• Naphazoline hydrochloride 0.012% w/v
• Zinc sulfate 0.25% w/v

Direction

Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) up to 4 times daily or as directed. Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instil drops without touching the dropper tip to the eye.

Side effects

• Transient stinging or burning on instillation.
• Rebound congestion with prolonged use.
• Pupil dilation (rare).

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredient.
• Do not use for more than 3–4 consecutive days without medical advice (rebound congestion risk).
• Avoid use with contact lenses.
• Not for use in children under 6 years.
• Consult a physician if redness or irritation persists or worsens.
