Ascoril Expectorant Per 10 mL: salbutamol (as salbutamol sulphate) 2 mg / bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg / guaifenesin 100 mg / menthol 1 mg

Indication

For secretolytic treatment of respiratory diseases accompanied by bronchospasm and thick, difficult-to-expel secretions, including tracheobronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, and pulmonary emphysema. Use only as prescribed and supervised by a physician.

Ingredients

• Salbutamol (as salbutamol sulphate) 2 mg per 10 mL
• Bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg per 10 mL
• Guaifenesin 100 mg per 10 mL
• Menthol 1 mg per 10 mL

Direction

Use only as prescribed and supervised by a physician. Adults and children aged 12 years and older: 10 mL three times daily. Children aged 6–12 years: 5–10 mL three times daily. Children aged 2–6 years: 5 mL three times daily. The physician determines treatment duration individually. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• insomnia or hyperactivity
• nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• abdominal discomfort
• altered taste
• muscle cramps
• and increased coughing.
• Allergic reactions including rash
• itching
• swelling or anaphylaxis
• fast heartbeat or other rhythm disturbance
• blood
• pressure changes
• and paradoxical bronchospasm may occur. Rare severe skin reactions and low blood potassium have been reported. Seek medical care for severe or unexpected symptoms.

• or in people with hypersensitivity to the ingredients

• severe cardiovascular disease
• hyperthyroidism
• severe liver impairment
• or active gastric or duodenal ulcer.

• ischemic or other cardiovascular disease
• diabetes
• glaucoma
• kidney or liver impairment
• and conditions with excessive bronchial secretions. Seek urgent medical advice for chest pain
• breathing difficulty
• paradoxical bronchospasm
• or serious rash/blistering of skin or mucosa
• stop use if a serious skin reaction occurs.
• Avoid driving or operating machinery requiring concentration during treatment. Shake well before use.
