Axcel Paracetamol 250 mg/5 mL

Indication

Relief of fever, cold and influenza symptoms, teething pain, and headache.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 250 mg per 5 mL

Direction

For oral use. Shake well before use. The product leaflet states 2.5–5 mL per dose for children aged 1–6 years and 5–10 mL per dose for children aged 7–12 years, given 3 or 4 times daily. For children aged 3 months to under 1 year, the leaflet advises using Axcel Paracetamol-120 Syrup instead. Follow a doctor or pharmacist’s directions.

Side effects

• Skin rash or allergic reactions may occur. Rare serious skin reactions can include skin redness
• blisters
• swelling
• or severe rash.

Precautions

• Do not use together with other medicines containing paracetamol. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if the child has kidney or liver problems
• an allergy to medicines
• food or dyes
• is taking an anticoagulant
• or if the medicine is being considered during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Use only as directed and avoid prolonged use without medical advice. Taking too much paracetamol can cause serious harm
• seek urgent medical help if an overdose is suspected
• even if the person feels well.
• Stop use and seek medical care promptly if skin redness
• blisters
• rash
• swelling
• or another allergic reaction occurs.
