Rocgel Aluminium oxide 1.2 g per sachet

Indication

Symptomatic relief of pain, burning, and heartburn affecting the stomach or oesophagus.

Ingredients

• Aluminium oxide 1.212 g per sachet (as hydrated aluminium oxide 8.080 g)

Direction

Take one sachet when pain occurs, up to a maximum of 6 sachets per day. For oral use. Knead the sachet before opening and swallow its contents directly.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea or constipation.
• Reduced blood phosphate with prolonged use or high doses.
• Hives (urticaria).
• Excessive use may cause constipation or intestinal obstruction
• overdose effects are of greater concern with kidney problems.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to aluminium oxide or any other ingredient.
• Antacids can reduce the absorption of other medicines. Take Rocgel more than 2 hours apart from other medicines when possible
• ask a doctor or pharmacist about current treatments.
• Use caution with kidney impairment or chronic dialysis because aluminium may accumulate
• citrate products can increase aluminium absorption
• especially with impaired kidney function.
• Each sachet contains 1.90 g sucrose. Consider this in diabetes
• do not use with hereditary fructose intolerance
• glucose
• galactose malabsorption
• or sucrase
• isomaltase deficiency.
• Seek medical advice before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
