Starcef Cefixime 100 mg/5 mL after reconstitution

Indication

Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections, including uncomplicated urinary tract infections, otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, and acute bronchitis or acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.

Ingredients

• Cefixime (as cefixime trihydrate)
• equivalent to cefixime 100 mg per 5 mL after reconstitution

Direction

Prescription only; use as directed by a healthcare professional. To reconstitute, add 10 mL water and shake for 30 seconds, then add another 10 mL water and shake again for 30 seconds. Shake well before each dose. Discard unused suspension 7 days after reconstitution.

Side effects

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to cefixime or other cephalosporin antibiotics
