Azitar-250 250 mg

Indication

Treatment of mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Use only for infections proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria, under a prescriber's direction.

Ingredients

• Azithromycin 250 mg per film
• coated tablet

Direction

Take only as directed by a physician. The dose and treatment duration depend on the infection and patient; complete the prescribed course.

Side effects

• Common effects include diarrhea or loose stools
• nausea
• and abdominal pain. Rash
• vomiting
• or other adverse effects may also occur.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics
• or if prior azithromycin caused cholestatic jaundice or liver dysfunction. Seek medical advice for liver disease
• heart rhythm/QT problems
• or interacting medicines. Stop and seek urgent care for a severe allergic or skin reaction. Antibiotics do not treat viral infections.
