Beprogel 0.064% w/v (equivalent to betamethasone 0.05% w/v)

Indication

A topical corticosteroid for certain corticosteroid-responsive skin conditions, to relieve inflammation and itching. Use only as directed by a healthcare professional.

Ingredients

• Betamethasone dipropionate 0.064% w/v (equivalent to betamethasone 0.05% w/v)
• Methyl paraben 0.1% w/v (preservative)

Direction

Wash and dry the affected area. Apply sparingly once or twice daily, or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. For topical use only.

Side effects

• Possible local effects include burning
• itching
• irritation
• dryness
• folliculitis
• acne
• like eruptions
• skin color changes
• allergic contact dermatitis
• secondary infection
• skin thinning
• and stretch marks. Prolonged or extensive use may cause systemic corticosteroid effects.

Precautions

• For external use only
• not for ophthalmic use. Avoid contact with the eyes. The solution is flammable: do not use it or dry hair near fire or an open flame. Use only as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Prolonged use or application over large areas may cause systemic corticosteroid effects
• do not use under occlusion unless directed by a clinician.
