Indication

Amoxicillin and clavulanate is an antibacterial medicine used for certain bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. It does not treat viral infections.

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin 875 mg (as amoxicillin trihydrate)
• Clavulanic acid 125 mg (as clavulanate potassium)

Direction

Take only as directed by a physician. Follow the patient leaflet supplied with the package and complete the prescribed course.

Side effects

• Commonly reported effects include diarrhea
• nausea
• vomiting
• and skin rash. Seek medical advice for severe or persistent diarrhea or signs of an allergic reaction.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to penicillin or other beta
• lactam antibiotics
• or if there is a previous history of amoxicillin/clavulanate
• associated liver problems. Use only when prescribed
• take exactly as directed and complete the course.
