Pimag Aluminium hydroxide 300 mg / magnesium hydroxide 300 mg / simethicone 80 mg per 7 ml

Indication

Treatment for symptoms associated with gastric and duodenal ulcer, gastritis, heartburn, and gastric hyperacidity. The package also lists stomach upset, nausea, and flatulence among symptoms it may help relieve.

Ingredients

• Aluminium hydroxide dried gel 300 mg per 7 ml
• Magnesium hydroxide 300 mg per 7 ml
• Simethicone 80 mg per 7 ml

Direction

Shake before use. Adults: take 1–2 sachets 3–4 times daily. Children aged 6–12 years: take 1 sachet 3–4 times daily. Take when symptoms occur; the package says doses may be repeated 30–60 minutes before or after meals and at bedtime.

Precautions

• Do not use in severe renal insufficiency or serious kidney failure
• in severely debilitated patients
• with severe abdominal pain
• or when bowel obstruction is possible. Not recommended for children under 6 years. Do not use for more than 2 weeks unless advised by a physician. Antacids can affect absorption of tetracycline and cimetidine
• separate these medicines from antacid doses by 1–2 hours. Not suitable for patients on a low
• phosphorus diet or for long
• term use because antacids may lower blood phosphorus.
