Indication

DECOLGEN Cold + Flu (Kids) is a combination product used for symptomatic relief of cold and flu in children, including fever (paracetamol), nasal congestion (phenylephrine), and runny nose or sneezing (chlorphenamine).

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 250 mg
• Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg
• Chlorphenamine Maleate 1 mg per 5 mL (oral suspension for children)

Direction

Children (6–12 years): 5 mL every 6 hours, not more than 4 times in 24 hours. Children (2–6 years): 2.5 mL every 6 hours. Do not exceed recommended dose. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Drowsiness (due to chlorphenamine).
• Dry mouth.
• Nausea or stomach upset.
• Increased heart rate (due to phenylephrine).

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 2 years without physician advice.
• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in children with heart conditions
• thyroid disease
• high blood pressure
• or diabetes.
• May cause drowsiness due to antihistamine — avoid activities requiring alertness.
• Keep out of reach of children.
