Indication

Flemex Kids is a mucolytic agent for children used to reduce the viscosity of mucus in respiratory conditions such as acute and chronic bronchitis, and to facilitate expectoration.

Ingredients

• Carbocisteine (Carbocysteine) — exact strength per dose not verifiable without product label

Direction

Children: dose varies by age and weight as directed by physician. Generally given 2–3 times daily. Shake well before use if in suspension form.

Side effects

• Nausea and stomach upset (uncommon).
• Gastrointestinal bleeding (rare — use with caution in peptic ulcer history).
• Allergic reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with active peptic ulcer disease.
• Not recommended in children under 2 years without physician advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Consult physician if symptoms persist for more than 7 days.
