Acide Folique CCD 5 mg

Indication

Treatment of conditions caused by confirmed folic acid deficiency, including deficiency-related macrocytic anemia, chronic intestinal malabsorption, and inadequate intake. Use during pregnancy only for confirmed deficiency and as medically directed.

Ingredients

• Folic acid 5 mg per tablet

Direction

Take by mouth. The package states 1 to 3 tablets daily; follow the advice of your doctor or pharmacist and the supplied leaflet.

Side effects

• Very rare skin allergic reactions and possible gastrointestinal disorders. Urticaria and angioedema have also been reported at an unknown frequency.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to folic acid or any product ingredient. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use and tell them about other medicines. Folic acid may lower blood levels of phenobarbital
• phenytoin
• and primidone
• clinical monitoring and dose adjustment of the anticonvulsant may be needed. During pregnancy
• use only for confirmed deficiency and on professional advice.
