Woods' Peppermint Expectorant Bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg / guaifenesin 100 mg per 5 mL syrup; ethanol 6% v/v

Indication

For productive cough and cough associated with bronchitis or emphysema.

Ingredients

• Each 5 mL contains bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg
• guaifenesin 100 mg
• ethanol 6% v/v

Direction

Shake well before use. Adults and children older than 12 years: 10 mL three times a day. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL three times a day.

Side effects

• Occasional gastrointestinal disturbance
• rarely allergic skin rashes and vomiting.

Precautions

• Use with special care in patients with gastrointestinal ulceration
• during pregnancy or lactation.
• Guaifenesin may cause false positive urinary 5
• HIAA and VMA test results.
• Follow medical advice if symptoms worsen or persist.
