Indication
For productive cough and cough associated with bronchitis or emphysema.
Ingredients
- Each 5 mL contains bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg
- guaifenesin 100 mg
- ethanol 6% v/v
Direction
Shake well before use. Adults and children older than 12 years: 10 mL three times a day. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL three times a day.
Side effects
- Occasional gastrointestinal disturbance
- rarely allergic skin rashes and vomiting.
Precautions
- Use with special care in patients with gastrointestinal ulceration
- during pregnancy or lactation.
- Guaifenesin may cause false positive urinary 5
- HIAA and VMA test results.
- Follow medical advice if symptoms worsen or persist.
