Piyen Chin Naphazoline hydrochloride 10 mg/10 mL (0.1% w/v)

Indication

The package identifies use for ocular congestion and conjunctivitis, and for nasal congestion.

Ingredients

• Naphazoline hydrochloride 10 mg/10 mL (0.1% w/v)

Direction

For nasal use: 1–3 drops each time, 3 times daily. For eye use: 1–2 drops each time, 2 times daily. Do not exceed the package directions; consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist.

Side effects

• Eye use may cause temporary irritation
• redness
• blurred vision
• or pupil dilation. Nasal use may cause burning
• stinging
• sneezing
• or nasal irritation. Excessive or prolonged nasal use may cause congestion to recur or worsen. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms occur or worsen.

Precautions

• Use only as directed. Do not use if allergic to naphazoline or any ingredient. Avoid prolonged or excessive use
• the package advises an interval of 2–3 days after 10 consecutive days of use. Seek medical advice if eye irritation

• or nasal congestion persists or worsens. Use caution in people with glaucoma
