Indication

Symptomatic relief of common cold and flu in children: fever, runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 120 mg per 5 mL
• Chlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg per 5 mL
• Naphazoline hydrochloride 0.25 mg per 5 mL

Direction

Children 6–12 years: 10 mL (2 teaspoons) every 4–6 hours as needed, not more than 4 times daily. Children 2–6 years: 5 mL (1 teaspoon) every 4–6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Always use the measuring device provided.

Side effects

• Drowsiness (from chlorpheniramine).
• Dry mouth.
• Nausea.
• Rebound nasal congestion with prolonged use of naphazoline.

Precautions

• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose — paracetamol overdose can cause serious liver damage.
• Not recommended for infants under 2 years without medical advice.
• Avoid in children with liver disease or G6PD deficiency.
• Naphazoline may cause rebound congestion with prolonged use.
• May cause drowsiness — avoid activities requiring alertness.
• Keep out of reach of children.
