Deflux® 10 mg

Indication

Relief of nausea and vomiting. Symptomatic treatment of bloating, abdominal fullness, and regurgitation in adults and adolescents over 12 years weighing 35 kg or more.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg

Direction

Adults and adolescents ≥12 years (≥35 kg): 10 mg up to three times daily before meals. Maximum 30 mg per day. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest necessary duration.

Side effects

• Headache.
• Dry mouth.
• QT prolongation (rare).
• Galactorrhoea
• gynaecomastia (rare
• with prolonged use).
• Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to domperidone.
• Contraindicated with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
• erythromycin).
• Risk of QT prolongation and cardiac arrhythmias — avoid in patients with existing cardiac conditions or prolonged QT.
• Contraindicated in hepatic impairment.
• Use with caution in renal impairment.
• Keep out of reach of children.
