Indication

Treatment of androgen-dependent skin conditions in women (such as moderate to severe acne and excess hair growth); also acts as an oral contraceptive.

Ingredients

• Cyproterone acetate 2 mg
• Ethinylestradiol 0.035 mg

Direction

One tablet daily at about the same time for 21 days, then a 7-day tablet-free break, as directed by the doctor. See the leaflet.

Side effects

• Nausea
• breast tenderness
• headache
• Mood changes
• weight changes
• spotting between periods
• Rarely: blood clots (thrombosis)

Precautions

• Prescription
• only medicine: use only as prescribed by a doctor.
• Should not be used together with other hormonal contraceptives
• use only for the indication prescribed.
• Smoking increases the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects. Tell your doctor about any history of blood clots
• migraine with aura
• liver disease or breast cancer.
• Not for use during pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children.
