Indication

Celecoxib (an NSAID) is used to relieve pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, and for acute pain and painful periods.

Ingredients

• Celecoxib 200 mg per capsule

Direction

Oral route. Swallow the capsule whole with water. Use only the dose and duration prescribed by a doctor (the usual dose is 200 mg once or twice daily).

Side effects

• Stomach pain
• indigestion
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• headache
• Seek urgent medical help for chest pain
• black stools
• swelling
• rash or an allergic reaction

Precautions

• Prescription medicine: use only as directed by a doctor
• Do not use if allergic to celecoxib
• sulfonamides
• aspirin or other NSAIDs
• NSAIDs may increase the risk of heart attack
• stroke and stomach bleeding
• use the lowest dose for the shortest time
• Not recommended in pregnancy or in severe heart
• liver or kidney disease
• Keep out of reach of children.
