Cefa P.P.M 500 mg

Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections due to sensitive micro-organisms: ear-nose-throat infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections and skin infections.

Ingredients

• Cefalexin 500 mg per capsule

Direction

Oral route. Child: 25 to 50 mg/kg/day divided into 2 to 4 doses. Adult: 2 g per day divided into 2 to 4 doses. Administer on an empty stomach.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain
• headache
• Skin rash or itching
• seek urgent medical help for swelling of the face or throat
• difficulty breathing
• severe or bloody diarrhoea

Precautions

• Antibiotic: use only as prescribed or advised by a doctor and complete the full course
• Do not use if you are allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins
• Tell the doctor if you have kidney disease or are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Keep out of reach of children.
