Indication

Treatment of a wide range of inflammatory and allergic conditions including rheumatic diseases, skin conditions, asthma, allergic reactions, and certain haematological disorders.

Ingredients

• Dexamethasone 0.5 mg

Direction

Adults: Dosage is highly variable based on indication: 0.5–9 mg/day in divided doses depending on condition severity. Should be taken with food to reduce GI upset. Dose must be tapered gradually when discontinuing after prolonged use.

• Insomnia and mood disturbances.
• Increased susceptibility to infections.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in systemic fungal infections.
• Do not discontinue abruptly after prolonged use — risk of adrenal insufficiency.
• May mask signs of infection
