Indication

Treatment of moderate to severe acne and androgen-dependent skin conditions (seborrhoea, mild hirsutism) in women; it also works as an oral contraceptive. Prescription medicine.

Ingredients

• Cyproterone acetate 2 mg
• Ethinylestradiol 0.035 mg

Direction

Take as directed by your doctor. The usual regimen is one tablet daily for 21 days, followed by a 7-day tablet-free break. Read the enclosed leaflet for further information.

Side effects

• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Reported effects include nausea
• abdominal pain
• headache
• weight gain
• mood changes
• breast tenderness and irregular bleeding
• and the risk of blood clots is increased. Stop and seek medical advice if you notice signs of a blood clot
• a severe allergic reaction or other worrying symptoms.
