Indication
Paracetamol is an analgesic and an antipyretic. Treatment of mild-to-moderate pain and treatment of fever including headache, migraine, muscle ache, dysmenorrhoea, sore throat, musculoskeletal pain, fever and pain associated with vaccination/immunization, pain after dental procedures/tooth extraction, toothache, earache/otalgia, respiratory tract infections including cold and flu, and osteoarthritis pain.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol 500 mg
Direction
Oral administration only. Do not exceed the stated dose; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Minimum dosing interval: 4 hours. Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over: 500 mg to 1000 mg (1 to 2 tablets) every 4 to 6 hours as required; maximum daily dose 4000 mg. Children 6-8 years: 250 mg (1/2 tablet); 9-11 years: 500 mg (1 tablet); no more than four doses in any 24-hour period, maximum daily dose 60 mg/kg in divided doses of 10-15 mg/kg; maximum duration of continued use without medical advice 3 days. Not recommended for children under 6 years.
Side effects
- Side effects are rare at recommended doses.
- Allergic reactions such as skin rash
- itching or swelling may occur.
- Overdose can cause serious liver damage.

Precautions
- Contraindicated in patients with a previous history of hypersensitivity to paracetamol or excipients.
- Do not exceed the stated dose
