Carbotoux Child 2%

Indication

Mucolytic for children: loose (productive) cough, increased and viscid bronchial mucus secretions and congestion of bronchial secretions during acute bronchitis and bronchopulmonary disease.

Ingredients

• Carbocisteine 100 mg per 5 mL (2%)

Direction

Oral route. Child under 2 years: 2.5 mL, 1 to 2 times per day. Child 2 to 5 years: 5 mL, twice per day. Child over 5 years: 5 mL, 3 times per day. Do not continue treatment if the cough persists or worsens.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea
• stomach pain or diarrhoea
• Skin rash or other allergic reactions (rare)
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect is troublesome or persists
• and stop use if an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not continue treatment if the cough persists or worsens
• consult a doctor.
• Do not use in case of active stomach or duodenal ulcer.
• Consult a doctor before use in children under 2 years old.
• Do not combine with cough suppressants or drugs that dry secretions.
