Indication
Relief of allergic conditions (urticaria, rhinitis), nausea and vomiting, motion sickness, and sedation.
Ingredients
- Promethazine hydrochloride 5 mg per 5 mL
Direction
Adults: 10โ25 mg two to three times daily. Children 2โ10 years: 5โ10 mg two to three times daily. Do not use in children under 2 years. Use lowest effective dose.
Side effects
- Sedation and drowsiness.
- Dry mouth.
- Blurred vision.
- Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).
- Respiratory depression in young children.
Precautions
- CONTRAINDICATED in children under 2 years โ risk of fatal respiratory depression.
- Avoid alcohol and CNS depressants.
- May cause sedation โ avoid driving.
- Avoid in narrow
- angle glaucoma
- urinary retention
- and epilepsy.
- Keep out of reach of children.
