Allergyl 100ml

Indication

Relief of allergic conditions (urticaria, rhinitis), nausea and vomiting, motion sickness, and sedation.

Ingredients

• Promethazine hydrochloride 5 mg per 5 mL

Direction

Adults: 10–25 mg two to three times daily. Children 2–10 years: 5–10 mg two to three times daily. Do not use in children under 2 years. Use lowest effective dose.

Side effects

• Sedation and drowsiness.
• Dry mouth.
• Blurred vision.
• Extrapyramidal reactions (rare).
• Respiratory depression in young children.

Precautions

• CONTRAINDICATED in children under 2 years — risk of fatal respiratory depression.
• Avoid alcohol and CNS depressants.
• May cause sedation — avoid driving.
• Avoid in narrow
• angle glaucoma
• urinary retention
• and epilepsy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
