Indication

Prescription medicine for neurotic states with inhibition and for the psychosomatic component of some organic diseases.

Ingredients

• Sulpiride 50 mg

Direction

Oral route. Usual adult dose: 50 mg (1 capsule) three times daily. Follow your doctor's prescription strictly and read the package leaflet.

Side effects

• Drowsiness or sedation
• Involuntary muscle movements (extrapyramidal symptoms)
• Dizziness on standing up quickly (orthostatic hypotension)
• Menstrual disorders
• breast swelling or milk secretion (raised prolactin)
• Weight gain
• Seek medical advice if any unusual or severe effect occurs

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with confirmed or suspected pheochromocytoma
• Do not use if allergic to sulpiride or any ingredient
• Reduce the dose in elderly patients and in severe kidney impairment (consult a doctor)
• Use with caution in epilepsy
• as it may lower the seizure threshold
• May cause drowsiness
• avoid alcohol and use caution when driving or operating machinery
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
