Ameflu 500 mg / 25 mg / 5 mg

Indication

Non-drowsy relief of cold and flu symptoms such as fever, headache, body aches, sore throat pain, nasal congestion, stuffy nose and sinus pressure.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol 500 mg
• Caffeine 25 mg
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg

Direction

Oral route. Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets per dose, up to 4 times a day, at least 4 hours apart. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours or for more than 7 days without medical advice. Read the enclosed insert before use.

Side effects

• Nervousness
• restlessness
• dizziness or difficulty sleeping
• Fast heartbeat
• palpitations or raised blood pressure
• Nausea or stomach upset
• Rarely
• skin rash
• itching or other allergic reactions
• stop use and seek medical help
• Serious skin reactions are very rare
• stop immediately if skin blistering or peeling occurs
• Liver damage with paracetamol overdose

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to paracetamol
• caffeine
• phenylephrine or any ingredient
• Do not use with severe high blood pressure
• heart disease
• hyperthyroidism
• or within 2 weeks of MAO inhibitors
• Do not take with other medicines containing paracetamol or decongestants
• Use with caution in liver or kidney impairment
• diabetes
• glaucoma or prostate enlargement
• Avoid alcohol and limit coffee
• tea and other caffeine sources
• Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours
• do not use longer than 7 days without medical advice
• Not for children under 12 years
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• Keep out of reach of children
