Indication
Antifungal + corticosteroid + antibiotic cream for inflammatory skin conditions complicated by fungal and/or bacterial infection, such as infected eczema and dermatitis, tinea (ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot), candidal skin infections and intertrigo with itching and inflammation.
Ingredients
- Clotrimazole 1% w/w
- Betamethasone (as dipropionate) 0.05% w/w
- Gentamicin sulfate 0.1% w/w (potency)
Direction
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the clean, dry affected area as directed by the physician (usually 1-2 times daily). Read the package insert for full details.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging
- itching or irritation at the application site
- Redness
- dryness or rash
- Prolonged use may cause skin thinning (atrophy)
- striae or changes in skin colour
- Rarely
- allergic contact dermatitis
- stop use and consult a doctor
Precautions
- For external use only
- do not swallow
- Avoid contact with eyes
- mouth and other mucous membranes
- Do not use on large areas
- broken skin
- or under airtight dressings for long periods
- Do not use if allergic to any ingredient
- not for untreated viral skin infections (e.g. chickenpox
- herpes)
- Use in children
- pregnancy or breastfeeding only on a doctor's advice
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
- Keep out of reach of children
