Indication
Symptomatic relief of common cold and flu symptoms: fever, headache, body aches, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol 500 mg
- Chlorphenamine maleate 2 mg
- Phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg
Direction
Oral use, as directed by the physician. Usual adult dose: 1 tablet 3 to 4 times a day with water, at least 4 hours between doses; do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours. Children: only on medical advice.
Side effects
- Drowsiness or dizziness
- Dry mouth
- nose or throat
- Nausea or stomach upset
- Nervousness
- restlessness or difficulty sleeping
- Increased blood pressure or fast heartbeat
- Rarely
- skin rash or allergic reaction
- stop use and seek medical help
Precautions
- Overdose of paracetamol may be injurious to the liver
- do not take with other paracetamol
- containing products
- Prescription medicine: not to be sold by retail without the prescription of a registered medical practitioner
- May cause drowsiness
- avoid driving
- operating machinery and alcohol
- Consult a doctor before use if you have high blood pressure
- heart disease
- thyroid disease
- diabetes
- glaucoma
- prostate enlargement or liver/kidney disease
- Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 2 weeks of stopping them
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Keep out of reach of children
