Indication

Opioid analgesic for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, acute or chronic, including post-operative, injury-related and other painful conditions.

Ingredients

• Tramadol hydrochloride 50 mg

Direction

Oral use, on prescription only. Usual adult dose: 50-100 mg (1-2 capsules) every 4-6 hours as needed for pain; do not exceed 400 mg (8 capsules) per day. Swallow whole with water, with or without food. Dose may need reduction in elderly patients and in kidney or liver impairment. Refer to the package insert for full dosage information.

• Do not use with alcohol
• sedatives
• other opioids or benzodiazepines (risk of severe drowsiness and breathing problems)
• Do not use with MAO inhibitors
• caution with antidepressants (SSRIs
• SNRIs
• tricyclics) due to seizure and serotonin syndrome risk
• Use with caution in epilepsy
• head injury
• respiratory problems

• do not drive or operate machinery
• Do not stop suddenly after prolonged use
