Gonasec 500 500 mg

Indication

Used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis.

Ingredients

• Cefadroxil 500 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 g daily in single or divided doses. Children: 30 mg/kg/day in divided doses. Take with or without food.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with known allergy to cephalosporins.
• Use with caution in patients with penicillin allergy (cross
• reactivity possible).
• Adjust dose in renal impairment.
• Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.
• May interact with probenecid.
