POLYSILANE UPSA 2.25g

Indication

Used for the symptomatic relief of gastrointestinal discomfort including bloating, flatulence, heartburn, and acid indigestion. Acts as an antacid and antiflatulent.

Ingredients

• Polysilane (dimethylpolysiloxane + magnesium hydroxide + aluminium hydroxide) 2.25 g

Direction

Adults: 1 sachet (or 1 tablet) 3–4 times daily, after meals and at bedtime. Shake suspension well before use. Not recommended for children without medical advice.

Side effects

• Constipation (aluminium component) or diarrhoea (magnesium component).
• Rarely: nausea.

Precautions

• Do not take in patients with kidney failure without medical advice.
• Prolonged use of aluminium/magnesium antacids may interfere with phosphate absorption.
• May reduce absorption of other oral medications — separate by at least 2 hours.
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks.
• Keep out of reach of children.
