Calcium corbiere Calcium gluconate + Vitamin D

Indication

Used for the prevention and treatment of calcium and Vitamin D deficiency. Supports bone health, and is used in osteoporosis, rickets, and tetany.

Ingredients

• Calcium gluconate
• Vitamin D (cholecalciferol)

Direction

Adults: As directed by a physician, typically 1–2 ampoules or doses daily. Paediatric dosage is weight-based. Take with or after meals.

Side effects

• At recommended doses: generally well tolerated.
• Excess calcium: constipation
• nausea
• kidney stones.
• Hypercalcaemia with overdose: weakness
• confusion
• increased urination.

Precautions

• Do not exceed recommended doses to avoid hypercalcaemia.
• Use with caution in patients with kidney stones or kidney disease.
• Monitor calcium levels during prolonged treatment.
• Vitamin D toxicity is possible with excessive doses.
• Keep out of reach of children.
