Acticarbine Activated charcoal + Simethicone

Indication

Used for the symptomatic relief of bloating, flatulence, abdominal discomfort, and intestinal gas. Activated charcoal adsorbs gas-forming substances; simethicone reduces surface tension of gas bubbles.

Ingredients

• Activated charcoal 200 mg
• Simethicone 80 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 capsules 3 times daily after meals, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Black discolouration of stools (harmless).
• Constipation
• nausea.

Precautions

• May reduce absorption of other oral medications — separate by at least 2 hours.
• Not for use in patients with intestinal obstruction.
• May cause stools to appear black (harmless).
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 1 week.
• Keep out of reach of children.
