Indication
Treatment of mouth ulcers (canker sores) and small mouth wounds. Forms a protective film that isolates the ulcer from food and saliva for up to 4 hours, relieving pain and helping healing.
Ingredients
- Filmogel film
- forming solution (medical device): cellulose derivative
- mineral acid
- carboxylic acids
- alcohol
- water
- flavouring
- sucralose
Direction
Wipe one side of the spatula on the edge of the bottle, then apply the remaining liquid with the tip of the spatula so the ulcer is well covered. Let dry for about 10 seconds before closing the mouth: a visible film forms. Repeat if the ulcer is not fully covered. Apply up to 3-4 times a day, preferably before main meals, without removing the previous film, until healed (usually 3 to 5 days).
Side effects
- A slight
- brief stinging sensation may occur on application.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
Precautions
- Do not use on large ulcers (diameter over 1 cm) or herpetiform ulcers
- consult a doctor.
- Do not apply to infected
- bleeding or deep wounds or to burns.
- Do not use if allergic to salicylate derivatives or any component.
- Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor.
- Consult a doctor if the ulcer does not heal within a few days.
